Kendra and Mark preparing us for Thursday
From the Opening Talk by Peter
Peter reminded us that Jesus is Son and Redeemer, the Word of God (Logos)
Peter also added that Increasing in Holiness naturally leads to increasing our Evangelizing (GoodNews-ization). They are inseparable.
This is pretty self-explanatory from Peter. What do you think about his statement "Evangelization is less about doing something for the church and more about BEING SOMEONE FOR SOMEONE?"
From Peter, a reminder that Evangelization must be at the center of our Vocation, and it is our deepest identity (this should sound familiar :))

Kendra and Mark were the hosts for the sessions. Kendra gave an awsome witness about her faith journey.
Kendra used the Women at the Well to underscore God's Thirst for us (through the Leaving 8cc now...)
Mark and Julie Rose reminded us that there are four basic types of prayer A C T S...
... and sent us away to spend an hour with the Psalms (I chose Psalm 27. Ask me why.)
Peter encouraged us to look for people and not programs to aid with Discipleship....
... in several different ways :).
... for a few slides. One of Peter's points was that God has a special and unique role for each of us, called an Apostolate.
You've seen this before, but for reference. Peter made the point that items 2 through 6 were meant for Disciple/Disciple-Maker Making.
Peter asked us to think about who Evangelized us. Ask me what I responded with :).
This was from a breakout session for Point People, where Peter and Andrea helped us to understand the diference between Ministry and Apostolate. (A: It is the direction of the effort - inward (Ministry within the church) versus outward (Apostolate)).
... Peter wanted us to remember that our goal was not to raise more church workers but to seek out, find and form workers to go into the world.
This was from Jason's Day 2 presentation. He pointed out that the phrase "but some doubted" was astounding given that Jesus had been risen for 40 days, but that Jesus pushes past it, and commissions them anyway!
Jason speaking about the Great Commission (see previous photo)
One of the themes was that we need to look at ourselves as SGLs, but also as Disciple-Makers. Can we ask the question - How can I bring you to Jesus?
